City Maintenance

The head of City Maintenance is the main administrator and appointed by Council. Listed below are just a few of the responsibilities.

  • Mowing, trimming, and pruning lawns, trees, bushes, and shrubs
  • Sweeping, raking, and clearing debris from streets, walkways, and park paths
  • Painting crosswalks, safety zones, curbs, parking stalls, street signs, and traffic signs
  • Repairing concrete and asphalt, sprinkler systems, playground equipment, fences, and other facilities
  • Installing reflective markers on road surfaces, sprinkler systems, and concrete forms for catch basins and retaining walls
  • Operating hand and power tools, dump trucks, rollers, skid steer loaders, backhoes, and sewer combination trucks

City Maintenance also works to identify the root cause of a problems, develop a long-term solutions, and implement them.
